Canvas and Card Set

Here in Ohio, Mother Nature seems to have forgotten that it is Spring! We've had snow (and lots of it) and so I can only hope that the weather changes soon. To keep my spirits up, I'm dreaming of my garden and flowers and was truly inspired by Deena's Printable Deposit Seed Co. Cocoa/Treat Envelope.

Cocoa/Treat Envelope - Deposit Seed Co.

The colors are so pretty, and if this doesn't get me in the mood for Spring, I don't know what will. The file comes with the packet on an 8.5 x 11 page and a page of instructions. I decided to use the images to create a mixed media canvas and matching card.

I started with a 5 x 7 canvas panel and painted it with a soft yellow acrylic paint. When that dried I glue a piece yellow burlap to canvas and then added the Deposit Seed Co. image. I think the blue and violet colors contrast so well with the yellow. I stamped "You make me smile" on ivory cardstock and adhered that along with two wooden flower embellishments.

For the card, I used similar materials so that it could be presented with the canvas as a coordinated set. The ivory dragonfly brad is so sweet and I couldn't resist using it here!

Mother's Day will be here soon, and this would make a great gift set. It would also make a special gift for a garden lover. You could easily print off another image and add your seed packet to the set, too!

Pink Rose Card

Hello and happy Monday! And, happy leap day!

March always signals the end of winter for me and what better way to celebrate the beginning of spring than with beautiful flowers! Today I'm featuring a card that features Deena's French Country Prints - Pink Rose.

French Country Prints - Pink Rose

Isn't that rose just gorgeous? This downloadable comes with two images -- one on a white background and the other on an aged burlap background.

The card I'm featuring today uses the aged burlap version.

I printed out two 5x7 images on cardstock and adhered one of them to a chocolate brown card. The dark brown really makes that pink rose pop and I like the way it enhances the french script background, too.

This image is so lovely by itself it doesn't need any enhancement at all. I only added the shabby chic flower to give the card a bit of dimension.

Such an easy project but with such outstanding results!

Be sure to visit the Ewe-N-Me website for more French Country Prints. They're all so gorgeous!

Thanks for stopping by today! See you next month!

Love is in the Air

Happy Monday friends! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and a lovely Mother's Day.

There are so many special holidays and occasions this time of the year. Is there anything lovelier than a beautiful spring wedding? The gorgeous colors and flowers of the season are perfect for romance and new beginnings. Today I'm featuring a wedding card I created using Deena's Love is in the Air Cocoa/Treat Envelope.

Cocoa/Treat Envelope - Love is in the Air

The combination of pink and brown, the beautiful birds and iconic Eiffel Tower simply embody love and romance!

I printed the envelope on white cardstock and cut out the front of the envelope, minus the flaps. I adhered it to this great kraft paper card from 7Gypsies that has a panel of canvas already stitched to the front. A real bonus for me since, alas, I don't sew!!!

I love the pink and brown image against the natural colors of the card and canvas. Once that was done, I glued a piece of white trim to the top of the image to add to the romantic feeling. I stamped a wooden butterfly embellishment with vintage script in brown ink and then added three seed pearls. It fit so nicely in the bottom corner.

This card was so simple to make, yet looks so elegant and lovely. While it makes a great wedding card, it would be perfect for an anniversary, engagement or even Valentine's Day.

I'm so glad you stopped by today and hope you will visit the Ewe-N-Me Printables website here for lots of creative ideas for your projects this Spring!

Mother's Day Cards with an Old-Fashioned Flair

Happy Monday everyone!

Mother's Day is such a perfect day to pay tribute to moms everywhere -- with beautiful spring colors, gorgeous flowers and all things feminine! Today I'm featuring a couple of cards I made from Deena's Cocoa/Treat Envelope - Mom that really captures the essence of Mother's Day.

Cocoa/Treat Envelope - Mom

I printed this downloadable on white cardstock and then cut out the front and back of the envelope to use them on my cards. I love the colors in this downloadable -- so soft and pretty.

One of my goals this year was to make better use of my craft room supplies. I have a large supply of fabric squares that were given to me, and because I don't sew it's been a challenge to make use of them. Well today's cards presented the perfect opportunity to do so. This image is amazing without much embellishment but it looks great with the fabric square background. I simply stapled the fabric to a piece of cardboard and then glued that to the card. I then adhered the image onto the fabric panel and decorated it with a metallic embellishment.

I did the same with the second image and added a flower and "Happy Mother's Day" tag. I think the patterned fabric gives these cards an old-fashioned flair which is so sweet and charming for Mother's Day.

While I didn't use this downloadable as an envelope, I like the versatility of it. And, with one downloadable, I was able to make two cards!

I hope I've given you some inspiration when it comes to working with downloadable images. Please visit the Ewe-N-Me Printables website for this and more great images.

Three in One

Hello everyone! Welcome to a new week!

Today I'm featuring Deena's Printable Gift Card Envelope - Birthday.

Gift Card Envelope - Birthday

This image is really sweet and what's great is that you get two gift card envelopes on one page. I used one image for the gift card and I created a coordinating birthday card and tag with the other one. Three items from one downloadable!!

The gift card envelope is super-simple to make. Simply print, cut, fold and glue. It really doesn't get any easier. So cute!

I used the larger part of the second envelope as the feature on my birthday card and the smaller image for a tag. The gift card envelope easily fits inside the birthday card. Or, you could place it in a gift bag and attach the tag to the handle.

I like that I was able to make use of both images from one page! How fun to have a coordinated set, too!

Live Simply Card

Hello -- and welcome to the first Monday in Spring!

Resolutions are always so popular at the beginning of the year. And here we are, months later. Has anyone kept up with their New Year's Resolutions? It's never too late to start fresh and what better time than the beginning of a new season.

That's why I love Deena's Live Simply Bookmarks. What a great reminder -- and isn't this image great?

Bookmarks - Live Simply

I printed the downloadable on white cardstock and cut out one of the bookmarks to use on a greeting card.

I trimmed the image so that it would fit on my 4 x 5-1/2 size card. After gluing the image to a piece of lavender paper, I attached a strip of ivory lace trim and adhered to a white card.

I added a little wooden butterfly embellishment that I stamped with french script in black ink.

Isn't this little girl just delightful? In keeping with the theme, I kept this card simple. It was easy to create and I only needed a few embellishments.

Thanks so much for visiting today!

Valentine's Day Card with Prim Sheep Hang Tags

Happy Wednesday all -- Beth here!

Where has this month gone? Seems like we were just celebrating Christmas Day and the New Year. And, here we are just a few weeks away from Valentine's Day! It's been a busy month and I haven't had time to craft nearly as much as I've wanted. I'm guessing it's the same for you, too!

Here's a quick Valentine's Day card I created using Deena's Hang Tags - Prim Sheep 102.

I'm a big fan of Deena's hang tags because they are so versatile. This downloadable comes with three different images in two different sizes ... SO adorable!! I printed the sheet on white cardstock and selected one of the smaller tags. I layered a panel of vintage ledger paper onto a white card.

Now I love crafting with fabric but goodness knows I am not a sewer (or is it seamstress?)! At any rate, I took my blue fabric scrap and stapled it to a piece of cardstock. I then glued that to the card. The staples give a rustic look which is in keeping with the style of this card. And I love how the blue fabric makes this tag really stand out!!

I added an eyelet to the top of the tag and a bit of twine. I stamped the 'joy, love, happiness' message onto a scrap of the ledger paper and placed that beneath the tag. The button in the upper corner adds a little cheery touch! The charming heart on this tag makes it perfect for Valentine's Day! If you're short on time and need a quick Valentine's Day card, this might be the project for you!

Live Love Laugh Cards!!

Happy Monday everyone - Beth here! I'm so pleased to be continuing on as part of the design team for Ewe-N-Me Printables in 2015!!

Today I'm featuring several cards I created using Deena's Primitive Labels - Live Love Laugh. You will get nine printable images on an 8.5"x 11" sheet -- with three of them being mini labels. I used three of the larger labels (3.5" x 2.5") to create three different cards. I printed the downloadable page on white cardstock and cut out three labels.

I adhered a piece of a vintage book page to a card, stapled a strip of ivory burlap ribbon and then glued on the label. The paper butterfly gives this card a bit of whimsy!

I love the fresh and simple look these labels gave to my cards. I used both ivory and pale blue cardstock. And, the subdued colors are a nice change after the vibrant colors of the holidays!

Most of all, though, I love the "Live Love Laugh" message! A wonderful way to start the new year!

Elegant Christmas Tag

Hi! It's Gracie posting today. I have a Christmas tag to share with you today. To make it I used Ewe-N-Me's Cocoa/Treat Envelope - Holiday Kris 101. I love that vintage Santa image so I had to frame it and make an elegant tag.

I printed the Holiday Kris 101 file and die cut the Santa using a frame die with a delicate border. Then I added glitter glue to the Christmas tree on the image, trying not to wet the paper too much.

I die cut a second frame from metallic embossed cardstock in cream, which matched the image nicely. I mounted the Santa image to the metallic die cut and then added a white cardstock label on the back too, to add a message.

This framed Santa would certainly look great on a card too! I invite you to experiment with this lovely vintage file and find out what you can come up with!

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Thanksgiving Greetings

Thanksgiving was celebrated recently in Canada, but it's yet to be celebrated in the United States, so I still have time to share some crafty ideas for it. We don't celebrate Thanksgiving where I leave, but we used to do some abundant and fun dinners at the american school where I studied... Good old days!

Today I have a card I made using a cute vintage collage from Ewe-N-Me Printables called Collage Sheet - Thanksgiving 102. I used the image of the girl holding a mirror for the turkey that simply blew my mind... How adorable and vintage is that image!

I made a card with lots and lots of layers and though this is a Fall card the color palette is very different. I picked the colors on the image for my card's color combination. I framed the image and made it the focal point of the card. I added a rosette, embellished with Fall leaves I die cut, colored with pigment and distress inks, and with Inkagold in yellow gold, to give them a nice shimmer. Other elements added were a die cut doily folded in half, gold cording and some crystals.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my card and if you need to make some cards I highly suggest you visit Ewe-N-Me Printables' store, because they have lots and lots of beautiful files for you.

Rose Culture

Hello! It's Gracie from Graciellie Design and today I want to share with you a vintage card I made using Ewe-n-Me Printables' Collage Sheet - Roses. These images are beautiful, and they print so bright and pretty... Love them!

I used an unusual color combination to make this card and I love how it resulted. It really looks vintage and lovely. I couldn't resist adding a gold vintage button to the blue bow to finish my design.

I printed the digital image on white linen cardstock. The die cuts I used framed the image very nicely. I used light brown leather textured cardstock and light blue metallic cardstock for the frames. The yellow cardstock used for the card base is lightly textured and it's called Hawaii where I live.

I altered the largest frame to make it shorter. I basically cut it in half and adhered it again trying to get the right height for the front of the card. I ran across the middle of the frame a piece of blue satin ribbon and embellished it with a bow. This trick helped cover the die cut alteration.

I hope you liked my card. The collage sheet has so many pretty images, you could very easily make a complete set of cards.

Nest tag card

Hello again.
I hope everyone is enjoying summer.
We have not got much of the summer rain storms where I am.

That makes for a HOT summer.

I wanted to share a card I made. This set comes with the most beautiful tags I have seen.
The hard part was choosing which tag!

There was no glue involved in making this note card. I took Osnaburg fabric and sewed it on white card stock with a zig zag stitch on the sewing machine.

Then I took blue scrapbook paper and sewed that on. Then finally sewed on the tag. and put some Osnaburg ribbon on it.

I love the colors and its so simple to do!

This one is headed to my cousin. She will smile.

To order this tag set you can go HERE to purchase them.

Until next time,
Cyn
