Clowning Around

Hi everyone and happy Monday!

If you're looking for a simple and fun Valentine's Day decoration, then you'll love these extra large tags I created using Deena's Collage Sheet - Valentine Clowns!

The printable sheet comes with six different Victorian-style clown images and you will get all six in two different sizes. I used the larger size for my tags.

Collage Sheet - Valentine Clowns

I started with six large manila tags (size 5-1/2 x 3) and edged each one with brown ink to give a distressed look. After printing and cutting out the images, I backed each one to a piece of fabric or burlap that I had in my stash -- in keeping with my New Year's goal to use what I have on hand. I then stapled each clown image to a tag.

As a finishing touch, I tied a piece of ribbon through the top of each tag.

The Valentine Clowns are so cheery and colorful and it was fun to select a different colored backing and ribbon for each tag! The large tags are great to use for a decorative banner for your home decor, or as an added touch to a Valentine's Day gift bag or box.

I hope you enjoyed today's post. For more collage sheets, be sure to visit the Ewe-N-Me Printables website.

Have a great week -- and HAPPY VALENTINE's DAY!!

Vintage Cupid Bottle Cap Images

I was able to get 2 projects out of 1 file today. These Vintage Cupids of Deena's over at Ewe-N-Me-Printables are just too cute.

I had a small wooden box to work with, I took the hinges and closure off then I put on 2 coats of Gesso followed by 2 coats of Coral.

After the paint was dry I used a 1" circle punch to cut out the images and inked my edges. I adhered them to the outside of the box. The heart flower buttons are from my stash, I painted them pink and green and added a pink pearl at the bottom.

I cut out the images for the card with my 1" circle punch, inked the edges then added some pink scalloped circles to their backs. Painted another heart flower and added a piece of twine to the middle and another pearl to the bottom. The sentiment is from my stash of stamps.

The washi tape on the top is from my stash. My Darcie Multi Sized Dots folder is what I used to emboss the card front.

I was a bit too close for this picture.

I only had room for 4 images on the outside of the box so I added the 5th image to the inside of the top. After gluing the images to the box I covered it with 2 coats of Mod Podge before I added the heart flower buttons.

Thank you for stopping by to take a look.

Sweet Gift Tags

Hi everyone!

Today I'm featuring six quick and easy gift tags that are so sweet -- in more ways than one! They feature Deena's Sweets for the Sweet Bottle Cap Images. Aren't they adorable?

Bottle Cap Images - Sweets For The Sweet

There are six different one-inch round images, and you'll get six of each on one sheet.

After printing them out on white cardstock, I punched out one set of six to use on my tags. I don't have a one-inch round punch so I had to use my 1-1/4 inch punch, but I like the white border around the images. I backed them with pink polka-dotted flowers that I created with my flower punch. The paper has a bit of sparkle, which adds a festive touch.

I then glued each flower to a manila tag that was edged with brown ink to give the tags a distressed look. I tied a piece of pink and brown ribbon to the top of each tag.

These tags would be perfect for a Valentine's Day gift. They'd also be a fun decoration at a party or shower where cupcakes are served!!

There are lots more bottle cap images at the Ewe-N-Me Printables website -- be sure to check them out soon!

Thanks so much for visiting today!

Valentine Greetings

This is such a beautiful file that I just had to work with it. Valentine Tea Bag Envelope has a lot of possibilities and my first idea was to make an invitation to a Valentine Tea Party involving my dolls in their sandbox and their forever tea party but I decided to show my sane side instead and went with a card.

You get 2 tea envelopes on the page, all you need to do is cut them out and assemble them.

I cut mine out using just the front and back panels. Then I laid out my cardstock and go it ready to spray the heart background with my eBrush.

Of course I used one of the masks/stencils that I designed and made.

I added some Glazed Dimensions to the rose bud and the, "V" and "G" in the sentiment to give it a little shine, added a piece of ribbon I found while clearing out a box and 2 hearts from Queen and Co. I ran the pink paper through my eBosser using the Delicate Dots folder, attached it to the front of the card and added my Printable to the embossed scrap.

I stamped the inside sentiment and attached the back side of the tea envelope inside the card.

We are having a blog hop February 6-8, please come join us and see what everyone has made with their special files. Deena has a great giveaway planned and I will also be offering a giveaway on my blog, 2 of my heart mask/stencils. Please come see what I have made and enter my drawing.

Thank you for stopping by to take a look at my card.

Postcard Valentine Greetings

Happy Monday everyone and welcome to February! Today is Groundhog Day and I am hoping he doesn't see his shadow -- I've had enough winter weather for this season!

One of the (few) benefits of winter is that I'm more inclined to spend time indoors -- which means more craft time! Today I'm featuring Valentine's Day cards that I created using Deena's Hang Tags - Postcard Valentine Greetings. I just love this downloadable because it is so pretty and the vintage style is a favorite of mine!!

You will get eight images on a page (two of each image). There are four different images, so I decided to make four cards.

I printed the tags on white cardstock, cut out four, and adhered them to panels of pastel pink and turquoise paper. I backed the pastel papers with dark brown paper and then attached each to a red card.

I added a strip of the brown paper under each tag and added three pearl embellishments. "Just for You" is stamped in brown ink onto coordinating pastel paper and attached with dimensional glue dots. If I were presenting this card with a gift, I could use the matching image as a coordinating gift tag!!

Glad you stopped by today -- and please be sure to join us February 6 - 8 for the Ewe-N-Me Printables Hop!

Hope to see you soon!

Valentine's Day Card with Prim Sheep Hang Tags

Happy Wednesday all -- Beth here!

Where has this month gone? Seems like we were just celebrating Christmas Day and the New Year. And, here we are just a few weeks away from Valentine's Day! It's been a busy month and I haven't had time to craft nearly as much as I've wanted. I'm guessing it's the same for you, too!

Here's a quick Valentine's Day card I created using Deena's Hang Tags - Prim Sheep 102.

I'm a big fan of Deena's hang tags because they are so versatile. This downloadable comes with three different images in two different sizes ... SO adorable!! I printed the sheet on white cardstock and selected one of the smaller tags. I layered a panel of vintage ledger paper onto a white card.

Now I love crafting with fabric but goodness knows I am not a sewer (or is it seamstress?)! At any rate, I took my blue fabric scrap and stapled it to a piece of cardstock. I then glued that to the card. The staples give a rustic look which is in keeping with the style of this card. And I love how the blue fabric makes this tag really stand out!!

I added an eyelet to the top of the tag and a bit of twine. I stamped the 'joy, love, happiness' message onto a scrap of the ledger paper and placed that beneath the tag. The button in the upper corner adds a little cheery touch! The charming heart on this tag makes it perfect for Valentine's Day! If you're short on time and need a quick Valentine's Day card, this might be the project for you!

Valentine Card

When I first choose this Printable I really didn't know what I was going to do with it but I think that it's super cute so I wanted to work with it. Love is in the Air Cocoa Envelope

A few days after getting the file I received a package from my kids in Tokyo which contained several packages of Japanese crafting/origami papers along with a few other items. This beautiful print was perfect for the Printable and a Valentine card was made.

I love the Eiffel Tower stamps on this print as well as the vintage postcard look. I did downsize the cocoa envelope a little to fit on the card. The swirl bling is from Zva Creative and the hearts are from Queen and Co., I added a piece of twine to the fold and the card was done. The Love is in the Air cocoa envelope can also hold a gift card, book of love coupons, etc.

Bouquet of Valentine Wishes

I choose the Valentine Clowns Collage Sheet to work with: Valentine Clowns Collage Sheet

You get 6 different images in 2 sizes for a total of 12. I used the larger images for this.

Once again I had to use my newest toy, I used my eBrush to color the wooden sticks I used and to decorate the jar.

I cut the stencil using clear acetate and my Cricut.

Here is the finished stencil, I used blue painter's tape to hold it onto the jar while I painted it.

I wrapped a length of tulle around the top to hide the tracks for the lid then I added a piece of pink rick rack.

I adhered my whole page of images to the back of an empty cereal box to add a bit of stiffness to them, then I cut them out with my trimmer. I added some Glossy Accents to a heart on each of the images then I adhered the images to the sticks with my hot glue gun.
I cut out some scalloped hearts to put on the sticks after adhering the sticks to the backs of my images.

I filled the jar with some iridescent Easter grass, added my images and I was done.
