Thanksgiving - Cornucopia Tea Bag Envelope

Hello and Happy Monday everyone!

Today I'm featuring a delightful hostess gift that you can make and take to your Thanksgiving or holiday season party. I'm using Deena's Printable Tea Bag Envelope to make a card and a tea bag envelope.

The downloadable comes with instructions and two tea bags on one page.

I cut out the two tea bags and used one for the tea bag and the other for the card.

The tea bag is so simple. Just cut it out and score with your bone folder. Once that's done you just need to fold and glue!

I cut out the other cornucopia image and backed it with orange paper. I adhered that to an ivory panel and adorned it with shimmery orange trim and a purple paper flower. The colors really pop against that ivory background. I then attached the panel to a green card.

Here's what the finished project looks like:

The colors are so festive! This would make a thoughtful hostess gift or a lovely greeting for a family member or friend. It would also be a nice addition to a gift basket!

Thanks for stopping by and see you next time.

Feedsack Logos - Plymouth Turkey Grains

Hi everyone!

Today I'm featuring a product that I haven't used before -- Feedsack Logos. Although the intent is to transfer to fabric or paper, I'm using the Plymouth Turkey Grains image on a card.

Feedsack Logo - Plymouth Turkey Grains

The downloadable comes with an instruction page and three different sizes of images -- 8.5x11, 5x7 and 4x6. I used the 4x6 size for my cards.

After printing out the image, I cut it out so that it would fit on a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 size card. I lost part of image when I cropped it but I like the way it looks and how it blends in with the red cardstock.

The logo is bold yet simple, so I didn't want to add too many frilly embellishments. I glue a piece of black and white polka-dotted ribbon underneath the turkey and then a few adhered three silver nail heads. I adorned the top corner with a pewter-toned paper clip for a final decorative touch.

This card would be perfect for a Thanksgiving greeting, or for any occasion this season.

I hope you enjoyed this feature today! Glad you stopped by!

See you next Monday!

Vintage Postcard Backs

The wonderful thing about downloadable collage sheets is that there are endless possibilities. Today I’m featuring Ewe-N-Me Printables Collage Sheet - PostcardBacks. What fun these were!

I’m so fond of vintage, especially when it comes to anything paper related, so these postcard backs really caught my eye. The downloadable image comes with 6 different images, in two different sizes for a total of 12 printable images. The sizes are 1.5" x 2.5" and 2" x 3.5".

Today I’m using all six images, but in different sizes to create two vintage style cards. I downloaded and printed the images and cut out 4 larger and 2 smaller sizes.

I started with two natural colored cards, one horizontal and one vertical. I glued a panel of red textured cardstock to both and left a sizeable margin on each so the red would stand out. This red paper really pops against the natural stone color. I then adhered two strips of ribbon – a dark brown and a red gingham to each card.

These images are great because the edges have that inked look. I arranged them in a stacked, overlapping style which gives the card a collage feel. I finished the cards by adding a red, shabby chic flower and two pearl beads.

Wouldn’t this be a fun card send to a friend or family member who loves vintage?

I hope you liked today's project and will stop back soon!!

Sweet and Funny Card

Hello, Cyn here again.
I have to tell you, this summer is flying by.

I can not believe that August is about half way gone.

I decided to make a card for my hubby John.
I do make them from time to time and leave them on his nightstand when I leave for work.

Or I will put them in his laptop for him to see when he gets home.
He is married to a crafty wife, LOL, he knows he will
get some things too.
I normally leave my cards blank and write something inside.
But I found this sentiment and I just had to use it.
It seriously makes me smile.

I love this collection. It is called Raggedy Friends.  Right now it is on sale for only $1.00 and look at all the tags you get!! Such an adorable collection.
You can get them by clicking HERE

Until next time, have a great week!

Shabby Love Card

Hello again. Everyone enjoying their summer?
I know that I am. Been spending alot of time in our pool.

Summertime usually brings on weddings.
Big Barn wedding? Small church wedding? House boat wedding?

Seems like they are so fancy yet so simple anymore.

I love to give hand made cards with a gift certificate in them.

I decided to do a shabby chic card. I used French Country Prints-Daisy
to make this card.

Standard shipping tag with vintage lace going down the side. Then I hot glued some flowers and a metal tag that says LOVE.

I also inked all the sides with distress inks to give it the aged look.

What do ya think?

Until next time,
Cyn
