Thinking of You - Tea Bag Envelope and Card

Happy Monday everyone!

I hope you all enjoyed your Easter and had a wonderful weekend with family and friends.

It's not always possible to get together with our loved ones due to hectic schedules or the miles that may separate us. But you can still let that special person know you are thinking of him or her -- and what a lovely way to do so than with the card and matching tea envelope that I made using Deena's Tea Bag Envelope downloadable called Thinking of You.

You will get two tea envelopes per page, plus an instruction sheet. I used one image for the envelope and one for the card.

The image has such beautiful colors and is perfect for Spring.

I cut out the tea bag envelope and simply glued the edges together with a couple of swipes of my tape roller. You could use glue, but the adhesive is quicker and less messy (for me). I used the other image as the focus of my card. I layered it on blue paper panels. The lighter blue paper has sparkles in it, which is very cheery. I added a few embellishments -- and that was it!

This set would be a nice way to keep in touch with a friend or family member you haven't seen in a while.

Be sure to visit the Ewe-N-Me Printables website for more Tea Envelope downloadables. There are so many to choose from!

Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to stop back soon.

Little Tag Banner Tutorial

Hello there. How about a tutorial! We will be using the
God Family Country Hang Tag set.
 You can purchase Here

First gather your supplies
You'll Need:
God Family Country Hang Tag set
( you get 2 sizes, I used the larger size)
Glue stick
Jute Twine
Hole Punch
Homespun fabric
Sand paper
Distress ink OR shoe polish
Cut out your tags and glue them onto cardboard. Don't have to be fussy when cutting. I used the back of a cereal box. Then "fussy" cut each one. Again just go with it. Trust me I don't cut straight at all.
Next grab your sand paper. I like to make mine look a little worn. It also helps the edges not peel up.

Take your distress ink or shoe polish and go around the edges. You can make some darker to make them more worn out.

Now grab your hole punch and make two holes in each tag. Weave the jute in and out of the tags like I have. This will make the banner part.

Now for the fun fun part. Grab some homespun and tear into stripes. Yes its messy, yes it fun! Now cut them into small pieces about 5in long. Tie them in a knot around the jute in between the tags.
Here it is. You can have the homespun hang down like mine. The more you put the more full it gets.
I have mine hanging from my shelf.

I hope you will give it a try. It is super fast and really looks great with all your prim decor.

Until next time,
Cyn
