Vintage Postcards with Victorian Kids

Happy Monday!

I hope everyone is enjoying a lovely and peaceful holiday season! Hard to believe that the year is almost over!

Do you have any New Year's resolutions? One of mine is to make use of the crafting materials I have on hand instead of buying more. Of course there will always be that "new" item that catches my eye, but my plan is to do much less of that.

Today I'm featuring Deena's Printable Hang Tags - Victorian Kids 102.

Hang Tags - Victorian Kids 102

There are four different images, and you will get three of each on an 8.5 x 11 sheet. I used these images to create four different decorative postcards.

I had a sheet of vintage style postcards that has been in my stash for a while. I cut them out and then added one of the Victorian tags to the front of each. I used dimensional glue dots to give the postcards added interest.

I stamped "2016" on each card, and then embellished them with pale green rhinestones (that I've also had for quite some time). The postcards are made of heavy cardstock, so they display quite nicely on little easels.

They'd make a charming hostess gift for any upcoming parties or get-togethers you might have. The images are so sweet and would make a delightful addition to your home decor throughout the rest of the winter.

Please visit the Ewe-N-Me Printables website for more hang tags!

Thanks for stopping by -- and wishing you all a very Happy New Year!

Tea Time!

Hi everyone - Beth here! Winter is certainly in full force where I live. The temps have really plummeted in the past week. Saturday's high was 5-degrees. Brrrr!

It's the perfect time for a hot cup of tea! And, what lovelier way to present it than with Deena's Time for Tea - Tea Bag Envelope downloadable. Two tea envelopes print on one sheet and there is also an instruction page.

I decided to use both envelopes -- one for the tea bag, and the other I used to make a card and matching gift tag. The tea bag envelope is super easy. Just cut and fold. I inked the edges in black to give it a more distressed look and used double-side tape for the edges.

For the card, I cut out the front of the other tea envelope and adhered it to lavender paper that I decorated with photo corners. I added a ribbon and tiny butterfly embellishment. The get well messages is hand stamped. I then glued the entire panel to a white card. I used my craft punch for the tag and added a piece of lavender seam binding.

The colors on this envelope are so cheery! Wouldn't this make a great pick-up-me gift for a loved one who's been under the weather?

There are lots more tea envelopes which you can find here!

Thanks for visiting today!

Snowman Gift Tags - Card in a Box

Today I used these adorable gift tags on my Card in a Box.  Printable Snowman Gift Tags  You get 6 tags total, 2 of each design, all you need to do is cut them out and score down the middle.

I made this card for my son and daughter in law because they don't celebrate Christmas in Japan,  they celebrate New Year's and send out New Year's cards like we send out Christmas cards.

The instructions for making a Card in a Box are a little involved so I am including this link to a youtube video tutorial.  Card in a Box Tutorial

I think that I have a page of each side, the back side is where you would add your sentiment and signature. On the inside of each gift tag I added either a seasonal stamp or in this one a sentiment.

I used a combination of stamps and Cricut cuts to create the decorations.

Thank you for stopping by today.
